Online holiday shopping. Because...people.

This time of year usually means I place several online orders.  The sales are just as good online as in stores and people seem to get 10 times ruder during the "thankful" time of year.  So I thought I would share some of my first few purchases.  I may have a few more on the way.

Victoria's Secret seems to have decided my beloved Mango Temptation is not necessary to sale right now.  I hope they bring it back.  I decided to try to forgive them and try some new body butters.  They smell very good...not as good as my Mango but they will do for now.
I've been so good all year about not buying clothes.  I think I have bought maybe 2 shirts?  I can only remember 2 anyways.  The problem with that is I was REALLY in the mood to buy some new clothes.  I bought almost all workout clothes.  JcPenney was having killer sales.  Here is my first outfit...a long sleeve tee and capris.  I really love the Xersion line from JcPenney.
These high waist capris are from Target.  They are really comfortable.
I never stray from black capris or leggings but I ventured out into a navy blue.  I really like them!
These cage capris are another item from JcPenney along with the new jacket.  It is hard to tell in the photo but the side looks like black snackskin.  I really love the detail on the calves.
The jacket is asymetrical and unique for a workout jacket.
Hard to see the detail of the jacket but it will a good one to wear from working out to run errands.
This top is from Target.  It's lined with a little fleece and very warm.
I also purchased the same shirt in black.

I bought another new track jacket from JcPenney.  I have one or two of these I had purchased in the past and already knew I loved them and they are comfortable.
I like the gray wrist sleeves with thumb holes.  It breaks up the purple sleeves.
My one non-workout clothing purchase was this sweater and it is super comfy!
Another 2 long sleeve reflective shirts from JcP.
Obviously right now I'm into the winter apparel mostly.  Although I love capris year round.  I only wear full on running leggings when absolutely necessary because I feel ridiculous in them.
I did buy one short sleeve workout top.  I rarely wear short sleeves, it is either long sleeve or tank top but every now and then the temperature is just in between enough to warrant a short sleeve.
Another view of the asymetrical jacket.
Another 3 new pairs of Xersion capris.  The peach ones are the cage cutout capris.  I am seriously addicted to the Xersion capris.

I have another pair of capris on the way and 2 pairs of running shorts.  Also bought a new pair of running shoes and a pair of shoes just for the gym.  So I guess you could say I've done some shopping lately.  I have no excuse not to be working out now though...plenty of new fun clothes to wear!

Turkey Trax 5k

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I started the day out with the Turkey Trax 5k.  It is a fun race that brings out a ton of people.  It makes it a bit challenging at the beginning as there are a lot of people to try to pass.  Over 1,200 people did this run.  I had a killer headache for this one and I hoped the run would help clear it up but it didn't.  I was happy with my finishing time considering my head was pounding and there was a massive amount of people walking to get past at the start.

A friend from work was volunteering at the race and saw me coming up to the finish line and grabbed this photo.
Julie brought out her festive Turkey Day hats for our after photos!  It was a chilly morning for a run but a good one.  The uphill finish didn't feel as rough as last year.  t thought it was going to be my last run of the year but I went home and signed up for one more in December.  Having a race on the calendar is always good motivation to keep me running!

Current Favorites!

This time of year brings out some of my favorite candy.  Along with chocolate covered cherries, I am obsessed with these peppermint white chocolate truffles.  Soooo good!
I have been drinking minimal soda and am now hooked on La Croix sparkling water.  My favorite is Orange but the Peach Pear is also good. When I was drinking soda a lot I didn't like these but after cutting it out these tastes much better.
Broccoli. Never thought I would love it.  The Birds Eye Ranch flavored broccoli is so good I can eat the entire bag!  I like adding some Laughing Cow cheese with it.  I don't feel guilty eating a bag of this at all.  If you like broccoli give it a try.  I just picked up the teriyaki flavor and am excited to try it next.
I have been back on Catalyst by Advocare.  I love this stuff.  Not sure if it is the combination of doing the right things but I have lost a few pounds since starting it back up.  Getting back into my weight routine has helped I'm sure. Catalyst is an amino acid supplement that helps with maintaining muscle mass and energy.  I've finished this bottle and need to order another.
I have Magic Erased everything lately!  Namely this thing works wonders on cleaning up siding!  I have also gone around my walls and cleaned up scuff marks.  It is awesome.  I bought 6 of them.  It also is great on bathtubs.

Currently listening to the book You Are a Badass...so far I am liking it!  It can be a bit cheesy...but some of that could be because I'm listening to it vs. reading it so the author reading it makes it a bit cheesy at times.

Those are my current favorites of the moment!

MIA

Sorry I've been MIA!  I've got a few empties and favorites to post this week!  I've been doing some good self-reflecting lately.  So just taking some time to myself and not being so rushed and task oriented.

After my half marathon I really missed my consistent weight training.  I've been able to get back into a routine and it has made me feel really good and realized how much I love weights.  Tonight I started my workout with a 30-20-10 HIIT treadmill workout before I did weights.  I was a bit bored with the standard sprint/walk/sprint/walk HIIT workout so I found this one.  You start off with running a slightly hard but maintainable pace for 30 seconds, then run harder for 20, then sprint for 10.  Then walk a minute and repeat.  I warmed up for 5 minutes first then repeated these intervals for 20 minutes so I ended up doing the running interval 10 times.  Then I cooled down 5 minutes for a 30 minute treadmill workout.  I was wiped out by the end.  It's a great workout if you need something new to spice up your routine!

I finally started making use of my local library and checking out audio books.  Since I started on Friday I have listened to 2 books already.  I listen in my car, walking my dog, working out, and my favorite...while cleaning.  When I was listening to the audio book while cleaning it made me want to keep cleaning!  I cleaned things I hate to clean...like my oven.  I'm officially hooked on the library and the audio books.

Ok more posts coming this week, sorry it's been quiet on the blog lately!
